Our office is over in Sector 39, right in the middle of the Cyber Park area. It’s one of those big buildings with lots of glass, but inside our space, it’s pretty ordinary. We have a row of desks that have seen better days and some chairs that squeak every time you move. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is good because it gets really stuffy in these large complexes. We usually get in early to beat the traffic, though the commute is still a bit of a headache with all the construction going on nearby. There’s a cafeteria downstairs where everyone goes for lunch, but we usually just bring our own tiffin and eat at the small table in the corner. The view from the window is mostly just other buildings and the parking lot. We spend our day looking at screens and talking over the phone about different projects. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, really. We don’t have any of those fancy lounge areas or bean bags you see in magazines. It’s just a place where we come to get our tasks finished so we can head home. Sometimes the elevator takes forever to come, so we end up taking the stairs just to save time. It’s a busy environment with people always rushing around in the hallways, but we just stay focused on our own desk work and keep things moving along.
