Our shop is up on the first floor, Shop No-9. It's right across from the Bank of India and not too far from the Hyundai showroom. Being on the first floor means it's a bit quieter than the street level, which helps when we're trying to concentrate on a tricky repair. We've got a lot of gadgets and components sitting around. It's not organized in a way that looks pretty, but we have a system. We deal with various tech issues that people bring in. Sometimes it’s a phone that won't turn on, or a laptop that’s acting strange. We just take a look and see what we can do. The stairs up to the shop are a bit narrow, but once you're inside, there's enough space for us to work. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at circuit boards. It's a living. We aren't some big chain store, just a local place where we know many of the faces. We keep our hours pretty regular, though sometimes we stay a bit late if a job is halfway done. There’s always something new to learn because tech changes so fast, but the basics stay the same. We don’t talk much, we just get on with the work. It’s a straightforward setup we have here and that seems to work for everyone. The view from the window is just the street and the bank across the way, but it's okay for watching the world go by when things are slow. We keep a stack of old magazines.
