Sohana Adarsh Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based out of Village Dauhla in the Sohna Tehsil. The company is run from the place of Gorkhe Singh, who is the son of Hosiyar Singh. We called it Sohana Adarsh Farmers Producer Company Limited. It’s a local initiative that we put together because we were tired of being at the mercy of middle-men. Most of us here have been farming for generations, and we know how difficult it can be to get a fair price for all that sweat and time. We use the office in Dauhla to gather and plan out what we’re going to plant and how we’re going to sell it. It’s not a fancy setup at all. It’s just a practical spot for us to get together and make decisions. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that. We just talk to each other and figure out the best way forward. Sometimes we disagree on things, but that’s normal when you have a bunch of independent-minded farmers in one room. The main thing is that we’re all in the same boat. We want to see our village do well and our families taken care of. Farming is unpredictable, but having this company gives us a bit more stability. We take things as they come and try to be smart about how we spend our resources. It's just simple, everyday work for us.
