Our office is in Silverton Towers, specifically Office No. 502, on Rajesh Pilot Marg in Sector 50. It’s right in the middle of Gurgaon, which is a bit different from where the actual farming happens, but it’s where we do all the heavy lifting for the business side of things. Skyhill Farms Llp is basically a small team of us trying to bridge the gap between the fields and the city. It’s a lot of spreadsheets and looking at logistics maps. The 122018 area is always moving fast, and we try to keep up with all the regulations and the supply chain stuff that keeps the farm running. Even though we are up on the fifth floor, we are still thinking about the dirt and the weather every single day. We don’t have a fancy reception or anything, just a few desks and a lot of papers. Most of our day is spent on the computer or talking to people out on the land. It’s an interesting mix, being in a high-rise building but talking about livestock or grain all afternoon. People stop by to sign contracts or check on their accounts. It’s a practical place for practical work. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and it’s grown on us, even with all the Gurgaon traffic right outside the window. We just keep our heads down and focus on making sure the farm business stays organized and the numbers add up at the end.
