Samlashan Mandir Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based in the village of Garhyon, right near the Samlashan Mata Mandir. We use Kamal Singh’s house, number 93, as our office. This part of Panchkula is hilly, so our farming is a bit different from the flat areas of Haryana. We have to deal with slopes and different types of earth. We named the company after the local temple because that is where we all gather and talk anyway. It’s a small community in the Thandog area. We don’t have a big staff of employees. It’s just us farmers trying to help each other out. We grow our crops and then look for the best way to get them to the markets in the bigger towns. The air up here is fresh, but the work is very hard on the body. We don't use any corporate talk or have big plans. We just want to make sure our families are looked after and that our hard work doesn't go to waste. You won’t see any ads for us in the papers. We just work quietly in our hills. If someone needs help or some seeds, they just come over to the house. It’s a very personal way of doing things. We are proud of our village and just want to keep our way of life going.
