Om Timber & Steel Merchant

We are over at No. 601/3/23, right by the Milestone in the Sector 10A Market. It’s on Khandsa Road, tucked behind the Canara Bank. The yard is full of wood and metal. It’s usually quite dusty because of all the timber. We have piles of steel rods and planks everywhere. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s a working yard. Trucks come in and out all day long. It can get pretty loud when they are unloading. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. Most of the contractors around here know us. We don't have a fancy showroom. You just walk in and see what we have in stock. If we don’t have it, we try to get it. The office is just a small room with a fan and some old chairs. We do all the billing by hand mostly. It’s just simpler that way for us. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains and we have to cover the wood quickly. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who know how to handle the heavy stuff. It’s hard work, and we go home tired every day. We don't bother with fancy ads or flyers. People know where the market is and they find us. It’s just a basic merchant business. We’ve been here since the market started growing. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we are used to it by now.
