G4S Security Systems India Pvt. Ltd. is situated on the fifth floor of Tower A in the Unitech World Cyber Park. This is over in Sector-39 and it’s a very different vibe from the smaller local shops. The building is huge and made of a lot of glass and steel. You have to go through the main gate and then take the elevators up to the fifth floor. Inside, there are rows of desks and people wearing headsets talking to clients. Even though it’s a big company, the daily grind feels the same as anywhere else. There is a small break room where the coffee machine always seems to be running. You can see the traffic moving on the highway from the big windows. The carpets are grey and the lighting is that bright office kind that makes you blink. People are always walking around with folders or looking at screens. It’s a busy atmosphere with a lot of movement. We have a reception desk where people wait, usually looking at their phones. The air conditioning is always set a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks. It’s just a large office where we keep track of security systems and try to make sure everything is running like it should for the day. There is always someone checking the schedules or updating the logs on the computer systems. It feels very routine.
