Design Associates

You can find Design Associates right by Metro Pillar No 626. It’s a really good landmark to use because this part of Janakpuri can get quite confusing if you don’t know your way around the blocks. Our office is located at A1/29. We’ve been working from here ever since the metro line started running nearby. It gets a little loud sometimes with the trains rumbling past every few minutes, but we’ve all gotten used to the noise over time. We do a lot of architectural drafting and planning for local buildings. There are usually huge rolls of paper lying everywhere and someone is always looking for a lost pencil or a scale. We aren't trying to be the biggest or most famous firm in the whole city. We just want to do right by the people who decide to hire us. It's a local business through and through, started by me and my brother. We have a couple of younger helpers now who do a lot of the computer work. It’s a lot of long hours spent drawing and checking measurements. We don’t have a receptionist or any fancy front desk, so if the phone rings, whoever happens to be closest just picks it up. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit over the last decade. We’ve stayed put in this same spot though. It’s a bit cramped in here with all the computers, files, and old furniture but we manage to stay organized.
