Cropicity Agro Seeds Producer Company Limited is based out of Village Tajnagar. You can find us at house number 105, which is Vijay Pal’s place. He’s been here forever and knows everyone in the village. We focus on seeds because that’s where everything starts for a farmer. If the seeds aren't good, the whole season is a waste. We spent a lot of time talking about this before we actually formed the company. Now, we use Vijay Pal's house as our main spot for meetings. It’s a regular village house, nothing special. We keep our records in a couple of cupboards and try to stay organized. Tajnagar is a place where people still look out for each other. When we have a meeting, wives usually bring tea and snacks for everyone. It’s not a formal corporate environment at all. We talk about the weather and the market prices more than anything else. Sometimes the younger guys help us with the computer stuff because it's confusing for us. We are just trying to make sure the farmers around here get the right seeds at the right time. It’s a lot of responsibility and we take it seriously, even if we look a bit disorganized sometimes. The summers are really hot here, so we try to get most of the work done early in the morning. That is basically how we run things in Tajnagar.
