Careers Institute

Careers Institute is located at A-40 in the Carter Puri and Shiv Puri area. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. The building is a bit tucked away, so you might miss it if you aren't looking. Inside, we have some classrooms and a small office area. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a full group, but everyone manages. We don't have those expensive glass partitions or modern furniture. It’s mostly just metal desks and plastic chairs that have been here since we opened. We focus on getting people ready for different types of exams and jobs. The staff here is mostly people who have lived in this part of town for years. We know the struggle of finding a good position. We don't do big speeches about success. We just give people the books and the time they need to study. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the backup lights, which makes it a bit dim, but we keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest school around. We just want to be a place where someone can come and focus for a few hours. We usually have some snacks in the back and plenty of water for everyone. It’s a very normal, slightly messy place where people come to learn and move forward with their lives. We keep a stack of extra notebooks in the corner for anyone who forgets theirs.
