Apparel Training & Design Centre (Atdc)

You can find us at Plot-50 in the Institutional Area of Sector 44, Gurgaon. The building is known as Paridhan Vikas Bhawan. It’s quite a large place because we need the room for all the training equipment. We have rows of sewing machines and large tables for cutting fabric. This isn't an office where people sit quietly at desks. It’s loud and there is always something being made. Students come here to learn the practical side of the apparel industry. We show them how to handle the machines and how to work with different types of cloth. The atmosphere is very much like a factory floor at times. We have instructors who have spent years in the garment business, so they know all the tricks. The building itself is a bit older and has that institutional feel to it. There are long hallways and a lot of stairs. We try to keep things organized, but when you have dozens of people working with thread and fabric, it gets messy pretty fast. We are surrounded by other big offices and centers in Sector 44, so there are always people moving about outside. We’ve been operating from this location for quite some time. It’s a busy, functional space where the focus is entirely on the work. We just come in every day, open up the workshops, and get to it without any fuss or fancy talk.
