Apex Security Pvt. Ltd. runs the business from Office No. 4 on the 3rd floor. It is a bit of a hike if the lift is acting up, which happens now and then, but we are used to it by now. We handle security guards for different sites around the city. Mostly, it is about making sure people show up for their shifts and doing the scheduling. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or out visiting the different places we look after. It is not a glamorous business at all. Most of the work is just keeping records and dealing with staff issues as they come up. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team behind us. People usually find us because we have been around for a long time and they know we are here. We try to be fair with the guys who work for us. It is a tough job standing outside in the heat or at night, so we try to look after them when we can. Our desks are usually covered in logbooks and duty rosters. That is just the way it is in this line of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to do a decent job for the buildings we watch. It keeps us busy enough throughout the day. We just take it one shift at a time and keep moving.
