Women Beauty Parlour

If you look for Palam Vihar B 46, you will find Women Beauty Parlour right there. It is a residential area, so it is mostly quiet except for when the kids are coming home from school in the afternoon. The parlour is part of the building, and we have tried to make it feel like a home away from home for the women who visit us. We have some old posters on the wall that have faded a bit over the years, but we like them because they have been there since the start. People come here to get their eyebrows done or a quick facial, and they usually end up staying longer just to talk about what is happening on the block. We don't have a receptionist; you just come in and if we are busy, you take a seat on the bench and wait your turn. The mirrors are large and we try to keep them shining, though fingerprints seem to appear out of nowhere. It gets a little cramped when three or four people arrive at once, but we manage by shuffling the chairs around. It is just a humble little place where we do our work and listen to the neighborhood news. We don't use any of those strange chemicals, just the stuff we have used for years. It is a simple life here in Palam Vihar, and we are happy to be part of it.
