Ghanshyam Hair Dresser & Beauty Parlour

Our shop is in Gaon Kasna, which is a bit of a walk from the main Gurgaon center. We are located right near the Gramin Bank, which everyone in the village knows. My name is Ghanshyam, and I have lived here my whole life. I decided to open this place to serve the people in our area. We call it Ghanshyam Hair Dresser & Beauty Parlour because we do hair for everyone. The men come in for their usual cuts and the ladies have a separate space for their work. It is a very humble shop. We don't have air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that keeps the air moving. Life in the gaon is a bit slower, and our shop is like that too. People don't just come for a haircut; they come to sit and talk. We hear all the news about the village here. I use the same tools I’ve had for a long time because they still work perfectly. The floor is made of simple stone and the walls have some pictures on them. It’s not a fancy Gurgaon salon with bright lights. It’s a place where people feel comfortable and don’t have to spend too much money. I take pride in my work and I like helping my neighbors look a bit sharper. As long as the bank is there, we will probably be here too, cutting hair and talking about life in Kasna.
