Vikas Industries

If you head down Khandsa Road towards the Kutchery area, you’ll find Vikas Industries right near Shivji Park. We are at number 132, which isn't hard to spot if you know the lane. This place has been our base for quite some time. It’s more of a workspace than a fancy office. There is usually a bit of noise from the machines and the traffic outside never really stops. We deal with various industrial bits and pieces, mostly helping out other local businesses or people who need something specific made or fixed. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the actual work to worry about that. Gurgaon gets quite hot in the summer, so the fan is always humming in the corner. We don't do big fancy meetings. Most of our talk happens over the workbench or near the door where there’s a bit of a breeze. People stop by after visiting the park or on their way to the court. It is a practical sort of life here. We started small and just kept going because there’s always something that needs doing. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit, but the neighbors are used to it. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get things right the first time so people come back to us later on.
