Our office is over at Palam Corporate Plaza on Rezang-La Marg. We’re on the third floor in A Block, occupying units T 418 to 423. It’s a decent space for handling the planning side of our fabrication and erection work. Most of our actual work happens out on various sites, but this is where the drawings are kept and the schedules are made. We have a lot of blueprints rolled up in the corners and files stacked on the desks. It gets pretty hectic when a big project is starting up. We spend a lot of time on the phone with site supervisors and suppliers. The traffic around the corporate plaza can be a bit of a mess during rush hour, so we try to get in early. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have much in the way of art on the walls, just calendars and project maps. The team here knows the industry well, and we talk a lot about steel and structural issues over tea. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We have to be precise with the numbers because if the fabrication is off by a few millimeters, it causes huge problems later on. So, there’s a lot of double-checking going on here. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we’ve seen how buildings go up from nothing. It’s nice to have a central spot to organize everything before heading out to the dusty construction sites.
