Our unit is over at No. 8 in Sector-6, inside the IMT Manesar area. This is a huge industrial township, so it’s all about warehouses and manufacturing plants. There isn't much else around here except for other people working. Our building is a standard grey structure that looks like all the others on the block. Inside, we deal with machinery for grain and other industrial equipment. It’s mostly a lot of metal, tools, and technical manuals spread out on big tables. We don't have a fancy reception area with someone waiting to take your coat. We just have a small entrance that leads right into the work area. The commute out here to Manesar can be pretty rough with the heavy truck traffic on the highway. We all arrive a bit tired, but once the coffee is made, we get right to it. It’s a very straightforward place. We don't use a lot of big words or have meetings about our "culture." We just talk about what parts need to be ordered and how to fix a problem for a customer. The summer months are tough because the metal building gets really hot, but we have some big fans to keep the air moving. It’s a no-frills kind of life. We are just here to do the technical work and make sure everything is built correctly. It’s what we have done for years now.
