Ram Repairing Works

Ram Repairing Works has been tucked away on Jail Road for quite some time. We’re pretty close to the Jama Maszid, so it's a landmark everyone knows around here. Most days are the same, start early and handle whatever comes through the door. It gets really crowded on the street, especially during prayer times or when the market is in full swing. Fixing things is what we do. It’s usually greasy work, and the shop is full of tools and spare parts scattered about. I don't always have everything organized perfectly, but I know where things are when I need them. Customers come in with broken stuff and we take a look. Some things take five minutes, others take all day. The noise from the street never really stops. You hear the horns, the people calling out, and the general bustle of Jail Road. We aren't trying to be some high-end service center. It’s just a workshop where we get our hands dirty. The floor is usually a bit stained and there isn’t much space to sit, but that's fine. We focus on the work. Being near the Maszid means there’s always someone passing by who needs help with a quick fix. It’s a busy life but it keeps us going. We’ve stayed in this spot because it's where people expect to find us. It isn't much but it's where we work every single day without fail.
