Punit Silai Machine Workshop

Our workshop, Punit Silai Machine Workshop, is located right in the Nuh Main Bazar. We’re very close to the Jumma Masjid, so most people use the mosque as a way to find us. The bazar is a tight, crowded place with people walking and bikes squeezing through. Our shop is small but it’s packed with sewing machines and spare parts. We spend most of our time bent over a workbench, fixing old machines or setting up new ones. It’s a lot of oil, tiny screws, and thread. Since we’re in the main bazar, it’s never quiet. You can hear the calls from the mosque and the shouting of the other shopkeepers all day long. We’ve been here for years, and the bench we work on is worn down from all the use. We don’t have a website or a fancy sign. Usually, people just bring their broken machines in and we see what we can do. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. Sometimes we run out of a specific part and have to wait for it to come in from the city, but we try to keep the basics in stock. It’s a humble place. We don't pretend to be anything other than a repair shop. The floor is usually a bit dirty from the street dust, and there’s always a few machines waiting in the corner to be picked up.
