Priya Wireeharness is located in Shed No. 1 in Village Mulahera, right near Sec-22. Working out of a shed might sound strange to some, but it’s a very practical setup for the kind of wire harness assembly we do. The village of Mulahera has been swallowed up by the city over the years, but it still has its own character. Our shed is a long building where we have several rows of tables set up. We spend our days working with bundles of wires, connecting them and taping them up. It’s detailed work that requires a lot of patience. The lighting inside is something we’re always trying to improve because you really need to see the colors of the wires clearly. During the monsoon, the rain on the tin roof is so loud we can hardly hear each other talk. We just keep our heads down and continue working. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops or local families who have lived in Mulahera for generations. We don't have any corporate slogans or polished marketing materials. We just have our hands and the tools we use every day. Sec-22 is just a short walk away, where we go for lunch or to pick up supplies. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. The shed stays cool enough in the mornings, but by the afternoon we’re all looking forward to heading home. It’s our little corner of the world.
