We have these two shops, numbers 9 and 10, over in Ashok Vihar Phase 3. We are right near the Palm Tree Hotel in Palam Vihar, which is a pretty easy landmark for anyone trying to find us. The space is usually filled with pieces of wood, fabric swatches, and all sorts of tools scattered across the workbenches. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when we have a few big projects going on at once. Most mornings start with us opening up the shutters and checking the list of things to finish. You can often hear the sound of a saw or a drill coming from inside if you walk past. We handle everything right here, from the first sketch to the final assembly. It isn’t always quiet, especially with the hotel traffic nearby, but we like being in this part of town. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, and we have to spend half the evening cleaning up just so we can see the floor again. Customers drop by to look at different designs or to see how their furniture is coming along. We don't have a big showroom or anything, just the workspace where the actual labor happens. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but seeing a finished piece ready to go out the door makes the sore backs worth it. We just try to do honest work and keep the shop running as best as we can every single day.
