Om Distributors

Om Distributors is located at D-44 in Udyog Vihar, Phase-VI. This area is mostly warehouses and distribution hubs, so it is a lot of concrete and metal buildings. Our unit is basically a large open hall where we keep everything organized on tall racks. It can be a bit cold in the winter and very hot in the summer because the roof is just corrugated metal. We spend most of our time on our feet, moving boxes and checking packing lists. The forklift is our most important piece of equipment, and it is usually buzzing around the floor for most of the morning. There is a small desk near the front gate where we handle the drivers and their paperwork. It is often dusty because of the construction nearby and the trucks moving on the unpaved parts of Phase-VI. We don't have a big sign outside, just the number D-44 on the gate. It is a straightforward operation. We receive goods, sort them, and get them back out as fast as we can. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that is usually the only time we stop for a bit. There is no polish here, just a lot of cardboard boxes and tape. We stay busy with the logistics of it all, and by the end of the shift, the floor usually needs a good sweeping before we lock up the main shutter for the night.
