Our place is in Kapashera, at number 245. If you've ever been to this part of New Delhi, near the border, you know it’s a very busy and industrial kind of area. There are trucks everywhere and the air is always a bit heavy with dust and smoke from the traffic. Our building is right in the middle of all that. We don't have any fancy decorations or a grand entrance. It’s a functional space where we do our work and don't worry too much about the looks. We deal with a lot of noise from the main road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our tools. We take turns making tea and usually eat our lunch together at one of the larger tables. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits. We wear what’s comfortable for the work we do. Sometimes things get messy with all the parts and equipment lying around, but we try to clean up on Saturdays. Being near the border means there’s a lot of movement and the energy is always high. We just focus on getting through our list of tasks and making sure we don't make mistakes. It’s hard work and the days can be long, but we’ve got a good rhythm going. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We’re just a local business in Kapashera trying to make things work in a busy world.
