Hilton Hair Saloon

This hair saloon is located in Chakkarpur village in Gurgaon. We are quite close to Yadav Medical Store, which most people around here know. It is a small shop tucked away in the lanes of the village. It is not like the big salons you see in the malls. We have a few chairs and a small bench for people to wait. I do mostly hair cutting and shaving for the men who live in the neighborhood. Some kids come in with their fathers on the weekends. The area is always noisy with the sounds of the village, like cows or bikes going past. The shop is simple and functional. I have my scissors, clippers, and a spray bottle for water. I do not use any expensive machines. The mirrors are old but they work fine for what we need. I usually have a small radio playing some old songs in the background. People come here because it is close to their homes and we do not charge much. It is an honest way to make a living. I have seen many of the kids grow up while coming to this shop. The floor gets dusty because of the road outside but I sweep it up every few hours. We stay open until late because that is when most of the working men have time to stop by. It is just a local hair shop for the community. Nothing more than that. We just do the work and close up for the night.
