Ess Kay Aluminium Glass Works

Working out here on National Highway 8 on Naya Road means you get used to the sound of trucks passing by at all hours. We have been at this spot for a while now, focusing on the aluminium and glass work that people need around here. The workshop stays pretty dusty because of the road, but that is just how it goes when you are dealing with metal and cutting glass all day. We have the sheets leaning up against the walls, and you have to be careful where you step when the guys are busy with a project. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is a place where we get our hands dirty and make sure the measurements are right before anything leaves the shop. Sometimes the sun beats down on the roof and it gets quite warm inside, so we take our breaks near the front where there is a bit of a breeze. People stop by because they saw the sign from the highway, or they heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We don’t have a big office, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the books and the phone. It's a straightforward way to earn a living. We show up, handle the glass, frame the aluminium, and try to keep things moving so we don't fall behind on the orders people have given us.
