Working out of Imt Manesar Sector 7 is a bit different than being in the middle of the city. D R T Steel Pvt Ltd is located at plot 86, and it’s mostly factories and warehouses around us. The roads are big because of all the trucks that come through here day and night. We spend our time managing steel orders and making sure the loading happens correctly. It can be quite loud when the heavy machinery is running, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other. It’s a tough environment, but we are used to the dust and the smell of metal. We aren't here to look pretty; we are here to move steel. Most days involve checking the weight of the loads and making sure the paperwork matches what is on the truck. It’s a lot of back and forth between the office and the yard. The weather in Manesar can be harsh, really hot in the summer and quite cold when winter hits. We just put our heads down and get the work done regardless. There is a small canteen nearby where we grab lunch, usually just something quick so we can get back to it.
