Brand Center

Our shop, Brand Center, is down on the lower ground floor of Hongkong Bazar Mall. We are in unit LG-10. Being in Sector 57 means we get a lot of local families coming through. The mall can be a bit quiet during the week, but it really picks up on Saturdays. The shop is filled with all sorts of items we’ve picked up over the months. We spend a lot of time arranging the shelves and making sure the price tags are actually on the right products. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful about how much stock we bring in. There’s a tiny storage room in the back that is always overflowing. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who take turns behind the counter. The mall lights are really bright, so it feels like it's daytime even when it’s late at night outside. We’ve got a little radio that plays local stations while we work. It’s a pretty relaxed environment. We know the other shop owners nearby, so we often chat in the hallway when things are slow. It’s not a fancy boutique or anything like that. We just sell regular stuff that people need. We like being part of the mall community. It’s a simple way to spend the day, just talking to customers and keeping the shop running. The mall security guards usually stop by for a minute to say hello. We have a small fan behind the counter because the air conditioning doesn't reach us properly. It's a bit of a tight fit with the boxes.
