Bharat Sewing Machine Works

Bharat Sewing Machine Works is situated over on Pataudi Road in Shakti Nagar. We’re pretty easy to find since the police chowki is right nearby. It’s been our home for a good while now. We handle a lot of mechanical stuff related to sewing. It’s mostly manual machines people bring in, the heavy black ones that last forever if you treat them right. We also see some of the newer electric ones that have more plastic parts. Those are a bit more finicky to fix, but we manage. The shop is 466/20, a bit of a tight squeeze when we have five or six machines lined up for repair. My brother and I usually handle the walk-ins. Some days are slow, just cleaning up the floor and organizing needles. Other days, three people show up at once with broken belts or timing issues. We don’t do much advertising; word of mouth in Shakti Nagar keeps us going. If a machine needs a new motor, we let the owner know the cost upfront. No sense in surprising anyone. The area around the police chowki gets busy, especially in the mornings. We try to keep things organized, but when you're working with oil and tiny screws, it gets messy. That's just how a workshop looks. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the neighbors. We open around ten and keep the doors open as long as there is work to do.
