Aastha Beauty Saloon

Aastha Beauty Saloon is in the New Colony area of Gurgaon, right near the Dushera Ground. It is a busy part of town, especially when there are festivals or markets going on nearby. You can usually hear the noise from the ground all the way inside the shop. The place isn't very big, but we have got enough space for the basic equipment we need. We deal with a lot of regular customers who have been coming to this spot for many years. They come in for a quick haircut or maybe to get their face cleaned up after a long week. We use the same old chairs we have had since we first opened up. They are comfortable enough for the customers. The mirrors are quite large and I try to keep the streaks off them, but it is a constant battle with all the dust in Gurgaon. Sometimes we have a helper with us, but often it is just one or two of us working here. We do not really do anything too fancy, just the standard stuff that people in the neighborhood need. When it is Dushera time, the whole area gets blocked with people and cars, so just getting to the shop can be a real struggle. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. It is a bit worn down in places, but it feels like home to us.
