Varahi Traders

If you find yourself in Nethaji Nagar, you’ll probably walk right past us at number 11/14. We started Varahi Traders because there was a need for a place to get supplies in Sathuvachari. It’s a small operation, mostly just me and a couple of guys helping with the heavy lifting. The shop floor is usually crowded with boxes and bags. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes a shipment arrives and everything gets shuffled around. It’s mostly about buying and selling what people need for their daily projects. The mornings are usually the loudest with the shutters going up and neighbors stopping by for a chat before work starts. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the front. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s dead silent for hours. We handle a variety of items, whatever the market seems to be asking for at the time. It’s a lot of checking invoices and making sure the stock matches what’s on the paper. I spend a lot of time on the computer lately, which I’m not great at, but it has to be done. We’ve been in this spot for several years now and we know most of the people on the street. It’s just a simple life running a trading business here in this corner of town. Nothing more, nothing less.
