Thakur Diary

Thakur Diary is located in the Jai Shankar Market, specifically in the I-Block of the Improvement Trust Building on Dalhousie Road. It is a busy spot. Most mornings are a bit of a rush here. We get started while it’s still dark outside to make sure everything is ready. The building itself is an old one, you can tell by the stairs and the walls. We have been here for quite a bit. It’s not a fancy shop with bright lights. We just have our counters and the storage areas. People from around the neighborhood stop by regularly. Some of them we’ve known for years. We talk about the weather or how the local traffic is getting worse. Dalhousie Road always has something going on. Inside the market, it can get a bit cramped when everyone is trying to move their goods at the same time. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure everything is in its place. It's hard work, and our hands are usually busy from start to finish. We don't really do much advertising. People just know where we are. If you walk into the I-Block, you will probably see us. We are just a local place doing what we do every single day. It’s simple, honest work, and it keeps us busy enough. We don't have any big plans to change things; we just like keeping our spot in the market running well for the locals.
