Fiaz Engineering Works

Fiaz Engineering Works is located right on G.T. Road in the Simble area. If you’ve ever driven down this stretch, you know it’s a constant stream of trucks and buses kicking up dust and making a lot of noise. Our workshop is right there on the edge of it all. We spend our days surrounded by lathes, welding machines, and a lot of scrap metal. There is usually a layer of grease on most surfaces, and the sound of metal hitting metal is the soundtrack to our day. We do a lot of repair work for the vehicles that pass by and for local farmers who need their equipment fixed up. It is a lot of hard work and your hands are never really clean by the time you go home. We have a small bench out front where customers sit and wait while we finish a job, often sharing a cup of tea from the stall next door. The roof is made of corrugated sheets, so it gets quite loud when it rains, and very hot in the summer sun. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures; people just know we are here because of the sign by the road and the work we do. It’s just a few of us working away, making sure things are put together correctly so they don't break again. We've been here for many years and have seen the road change quite a bit.
