Apex Foundry Engineering Works

Our place, Apex Foundry Engineering Works, is located on Faizpura Road. We are right near the railway crossing, so we hear the trains going by all day and night. It’s a sound you eventually get used to. The workshop is an old-school kind of place. Foundries are never clean or quiet, and ours is no different. We’ve got the furnaces and the molds, and there’s always a layer of soot on everything. It’s hard, physical work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The building shows its age, but the equipment inside works just fine. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks like a magazine. We just do the metalwork that people ask us for. Sometimes the heat from the foundry is almost too much, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't a big corporation with lots of layers. If you have a problem, you just talk to whoever is standing nearest to you. We deal with iron and steel and heavy parts every single day. It’s a tough way to make a living, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished casting come out right. We just stay here near the tracks, doing what we’ve always done, and trying to make sure the work is solid and the day is productive.
