Amt Engineers (India)

Amt Engineers (India) is located over in Basant Nagar, right along Kasmir Road. It’s been here quite a while now. Most days just start with opening up the shutters and letting some air in before the heat gets too bad. The noise from Kasmir Road is pretty constant, you get used to it after a few years of working here. We have a small team, mostly local folks who walk or take the bus. The office part isn't anything fancy, just some desks and old filing cabinets where we keep all the papers. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit in the afternoons, so we just sit outside until it comes back on. Dealing with engineering stuff means there’s always grease on someone's hands. We don't really have a big reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us working in the back or talking about what needs to get fixed next. It’s a plain building, easy to miss if you aren't looking for the sign. People in Basant Nagar know us though. We just keep our heads down and handle the jobs as they come in. There is a tea stall nearby that we visit pretty often. The floor stays a bit dusty because of the road traffic nearby, but we sweep it when we can find the time. It’s just how things are here at Amt Engineers (India).
