Srinivas Railway Booking

We are tucked away in Brodipet on the 18 Cross Road. It’s the 1st Lane, Door No 5/63/4. Most people just call it Brodipet 1/18. As the name Srinivas Railway Booking suggests, we mostly spend our time dealing with train tickets. The Indian Railways system can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes, so people come to us to handle the booking for them. It’s a small office, very simple and functional. We have a desk, a computer, and a printer that probably works way too hard. We don't have any fancy lounge or coffee machine. People just come in, tell us where they want to go and when, and we see what the availability looks like on the screen. Sometimes the server is slow and we just have to sit and wait, which gives us time to talk to the customers about the weather or local news. Guntur has a lot of people traveling by train every day, so we stay pretty steady. We’ve been in this same spot for years. The neighborhood has changed a bit over time, but our little office stays mostly the same. We don't do any big promotions or ads. People know where we are and what we do. It’s a straightforward job. We make sure the names are spelled right and the dates are correct. Once the ticket is printed and handed over, we move on to the next one. It’s a quiet, regular way to make a living.
