Chandu

This is the place of Chandu, the son of Venkateswarlu. We are based in Swarna, which is a village in the Karamchedu Mandal of the Prakasam district. Our pin code is 523170. It is a small community where everyone knows everyone else’s name. We have been living and working here for many years. The office is part of our family property. We don't have a big sign out front or anything like that. If you need to find us, you just ask for Venkateswarlu’s house in Swarna and someone will tell you. We handle various tasks throughout the day. It’s a lot of sitting and talking to people who come by. Life in this part of Prakasam is very connected to the land. Most of our neighbors are farmers. We keep our own hours for the most part, but we are usually around from morning until evening. The office has some old wooden tables and a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. We don't use any complicated systems. We just write things down and keep track of what needs to be done. It is an honest way to live. We don't have much to say about ourselves because we are just regular people in a small village. We eat our meals together and work together. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we sit on the porch until it comes back. It’s a slow pace, but we like it.
