Shree Khodiyar Handicraft

We are located right in the Lati Plot area of Jasdan, which is pretty much right by the Main Bazar. If you walk down that way, you will see our sign for Shree Khodiyar Handicraft eventually. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass windows or anything like that. Mostly, it is just a place where we get our hands dirty every day. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with scraps of wood and metal shavings on the floor. We try to keep things organized, but when we are busy with a lot of orders, that usually goes out the window. My cousins and I have been working here for years now. We learned how to make these things from our elders, and we just kept going. Some days are slow and we just sit outside on plastic chairs drinking tea and watching the people go by in the bazar. Other days, we are working until late at night because we have a lot to finish. We don't have a big office or a manager telling us what to do. We just know what needs to be done and we do it. The air in Jasdan is often dusty, and our shop is no different. We keep the doors open to get some air in while we work. It’s a simple life, and we like the work we do. People around here know where we are if they need something made.
