You can find us on Street No. 1 in Rameshwar Nagar, right off Gokhlana Road. It is a narrow street, so parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We have a small workshop where we do all our handicraft work. It's basically one large room with benches and all our tools spread out. We’ve been working here for a long time, and the walls are covered in marks and old calendars. We don't really bother with decorating the place because we are too busy making things. Most days start with a cup of tea and a look at what needs to be finished from the day before. The neighborhood is mostly other small shops and houses, so everyone knows each other. We might hear someone shouting for the vegetable seller outside or the sound of a neighbor’s radio. It’s a very local feel. We don't have any corporate managers or big offices. It’s just us getting our hands dirty and trying to do a good job with the materials we have. Sometimes we run out of a certain supply and have to wait for the delivery truck to navigate the narrow street. It can be frustrating, but that's just life on Street No. 1. We just keep at it and do what we can every single day. If the rain is heavy, the street gets a bit flooded, but we just stay inside and keep working.
