Nilesh Handicraft

Nilesh Handicraft is our small operation located at 19/8, Sation Plot. We are right near the railway area, so you can always hear the trains coming and going. It’s a bit of a hectic part of town, but we’ve grown to like the noise. Our workshop at number 19/8 is where we spend our time making things by hand. It’s not a large factory or anything like that. It’s just a room filled with wood, tools, and the stuff we are currently working on. There are shavings all over the floor most days because we don't always have time to sweep up until the very end. We aren't interested in being a big corporation. We just like the feel of the material in our hands. Some days the work goes quickly and other days we struggle with a piece that won't behave. That’s just the way it goes when you’re not using big machines for everything. We don't have a storefront with big glass windows. People usually find us by walking through the Sation Plot area and seeing us through the open door. We’ve lived in this town all our lives, so we know most of the faces that pass by. It’s a simple business, run by just a couple of us who appreciate the craft. We don't make big claims about our work; we just show up and do it.
