Shri Krishna Jangi Mahila Degree College

This college is out in Villbarahpur, right along the Sauram Road in the Nandganj area of Ghazipur. It is a bit of a journey for some, since we are located in a more rural part of the district. We focus on giving local women a place where they can come and earn their degrees. The college building itself is quite plain and is built for purpose rather than looks. We have the necessary classrooms, a small library for research, and some office space for the administrators. It is a very quiet area compared to the cities. Most of our students live in the surrounding villages and travel here by bus or bicycle every morning. The teachers are local people who understand the area well. We don’t have fancy stuff like air conditioning or high-tech laboratories, just the basic things needed for a solid education. Life at the college follows the rhythm of the village seasons. During the harvest, things might get a bit quieter, but usually, the halls are busy with students. We spend a lot of our time on lectures and helping students get their exam paperwork finished on time. It is a practical place. There are no big marketing campaigns here. We just provide a space for the women in this part of Ghazipur to study. The road gets dusty in summer, but we keep the doors open and keep working regardless of the weather.
