Vijay Gents Beauty Parlour

You can find us in Sewa Nagar, specifically in Ashram Wali Gali, right across from the Ashram. This part of Ghaziabad is always bustling with people. My shop, Vijay Gents Beauty Parlour, is a small place where local men come to get cleaned up. I have three chairs, though usually only two are being used at once. I’ve been working as a barber for a long time. The shop has an old radio that plays music or news most of the day. It’s not very loud, just something in the background. The walls have a few posters of different hairstyles that have been there for years. Most people just ask for the same thing every time anyway. I use a lot of talcum powder, so the place always smells like it. It’s a simple setup. I don't have a computer or a fancy booking system. People just walk in, sit on the bench, and wait their turn. Sometimes the wait is long, especially on Sundays. We talk about sports or the local politics while I work. It’s a decent way to spend the day. The street outside, Ashram Wali Gali, is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze with the bikes. I like being here in Sewa Nagar. It’s my home. If you need a shave or a haircut, just look for the shop opposite the Ashram. We don't have a sign that lights up, just the one on the door.
