A One Cute Saloon

Our little shop is tucked away in Shankar Vihar, which is part of the Khora Colony. If you are looking for us, we are right by the Yadav Medical Store. If you find that pharmacy, you've basically found us. The name is A One Cute Saloon, which I know sounds a bit funny, but we’ve stuck with it for years. We have two old barber chairs that squeak a little bit when you turn them around. We've been here in Ghaziabad for a long time. The walls are painted a light green color that is starting to peel a bit near the bottom of the door. We don't care much about the paint as long as our razors are sharp and the scissors work well. We mostly do shaves and haircuts for the men who live in the colony. They usually come in after they finish work in the evenings. We sit and talk about the local news or whatever cricket match is going on. It gets really hot in the summer months, but we have a good ceiling fan that stays on. The floor is just concrete and we try to sweep it every hour. It's a small space, so we can't fit many people inside at once. Most of the guys just stand outside and chat while they wait. We don't use any computers. It's a humble place with no air conditioning, just the breeze from the open door. We just try to do honest work.
