Uninor Store

Uninor Store is located on Sonda Road in Modi Nagar. It is not a very big space but we have enough room for a couple of chairs and a desk. Most of the people who come in are from the local houses around Sonda Road. They usually have issues with their signal or want to know why their balance disappeared so fast. I spend a lot of my day explaining data plans to older men who just got their first smartphone. The street outside can get pretty muddy when it rains so I am always mopping the floor to keep it looking decent. We have some posters on the walls about different talk time offers. It is a bit noisy because of the bikes zooming past the front door all the time. I keep a bottle of water under the desk because it gets stuffy inside during the summer months. There is no air conditioning, just a wall fan that rattles a little bit. People know this spot because it has been here for a bit. We do not do anything fancy, just help people get their phones working so they can call their families. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit in the dark and talk to the neighbors until it comes back on. It is a regular life here in Modi Nagar.
