Toufiq Hair Saloon

Toufiq Hair Saloon is located in New Karhera Colony over in Mohan Nagar. It’s a straightforward shop, nothing too flashy. I’ve been cutting hair here for a good while now. Most of my customers live right here in the colony. They come in for a quick trim or a shave on their way home from work. The chairs are old but comfortable enough. I keep the mirrors clean, though the walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon. Ghaziabad gets dusty, so I’m always sweeping the floor. It’s just me and sometimes my younger brother helping out when it’s busy. We don't take appointments, people just walk in and wait their turn on the bench. We talk about the local news or whatever is on the small TV in the corner. I mostly do standard haircuts. If someone wants something modern, I try my hand at it. It’s a quiet life here. The shop stays open late because that’s when the office crowd returns. It’s a small space, but it’s mine. I know most of the faces that walk through the door. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings over some chai and we chat for a bit. There’s no big sign outside, just the name. People find us because we’ve been here for a long time. It’s just a local spot for a decent haircut without any fuss or high prices. I like it this way.
