Tam Glass Tech & Glaziers Ltd. is out in Village Morta, right along the Meerut Road. Being located in a village area means we have a bit more space than the shops in the city center, but it also means it’s a long drive for some of the staff. We’ve got the workshop at 1289, and it’s usually filled with sheets of glass and various cutting tools. Working with glass is a careful job, so the atmosphere is usually pretty focused. You can hear the sound of cutting and grinding throughout the day. The road outside is a major one, so there’s a constant stream of traffic passing by the gates. We have a small yard where the trucks load up. It gets really dusty because of the road, so we’re always cleaning off the surfaces. We aren't big on fancy uniforms or corporate meetings. Most of our discussions happen over a cup of chai near the cutting table. The building is simple, just bricks and a tin roof in some parts. When it rains, the sound on the roof is so loud you can’t hear yourself talk. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us as the glass people. It’s a straightforward business where we just focus on the orders we have for the day and try to get them finished on time without any extra stress.
