Starchem Pesticides

Our place is on the ground floor over in Maliwara, Sector 14. We deal with pesticides, which is a specific kind of business that keeps us pretty busy during the planting seasons. It’s a basic setup here, mostly storage and a small front area for customers who come in. We spend a lot of time talking to farmers and gardeners who are trying to deal with bugs or weeds that are ruining their plants. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s necessary for anyone trying to grow something around here. The shelves are usually full of different containers, and there is always that faint smell of chemicals in the air that you get used to after a week. We have been in this sector for a bit, so we know the local pests and problems pretty well. People come in looking for something that actually works without costing them a huge fortune. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there in the world. We just want to make sure we have what people need when they come through the door. Sometimes we stay open late when the demand is high or the weather changes. It’s just me and a couple of others most days working the shop. We keep things simple and try to answer questions as best as we can based on what we have seen in the local fields. It’s a living, and it keeps us connected to all the local growers.
