Our place for Ambience Fertchem Pvt. Ltd. is at J-1 on Rakesh Marg in the Nehru Nagar area. It is a quiet enough street compared to the main roads nearby, though we get our fair share of delivery vans. We deal with fertilizers and various chemicals here. Most of the job is just logistics, making sure the right bags go to the right people at the right time. The warehouse area is always a bit cool and it has a slightly earthy, sharp smell that stays on your clothes. We spend our hours checking different batches and talking to the people who supply us. It is definitely not the kind of job where you wear a suit or fancy shoes. Most of the time I am in old clothes that I do not mind getting a bit of white dust on. We have a small office section in the front where we handle the billing and the phone calls that come in throughout the day. It gets pretty busy during the planting seasons when everyone is looking for specific things for their crops or gardens. We just pull the old records and see what we have sitting in stock. Sometimes the shipments show up late and we have to spend the afternoon on the phone figuring it out. It is steady, predictable work. We have been at this specific spot for a good while now. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is nice.
