Shiv Telecom

Shiv Telecom is tucked into a corner of Sahibabad in the Lajpat Nagar area. It’s a small space, mostly filled with glass counters and racks of mobile accessories. Every day is pretty much the same mix of people coming in to get their phone screens fixed or asking for a quick recharge. The fans hum overhead to keep the heat away, but it still gets warm when the shop is full. We sell a lot of cables, earphones, and those colorful back covers that teenagers like. It’s a loud neighborhood with plenty of people walking by, so there’s always something to look at through the front door. We don't have a big staff, just me and occasionally my cousin who helps out when things get hectic. Dealing with tiny screws and delicate circuits takes a lot of patience, and sometimes my eyes get tired. We aren't a big corporate outlet; we are just a local spot where you can get your phone sorted without much fuss. If a repair is going to take a long time, we just tell the customer to come back after tea. We try to be fair with what we charge because these people are our neighbors. Sometimes the internet goes down and we can’t process recharges, so we just sit and chat with whoever is in the shop. It’s a simple way to make a living in this busy part of town.
