Sharp Engineers

If you are looking for Sharp Engineers, you have to head down to Baba Nagar in Section 19. We are at 1/1180, tucked away behind the DPS School. You can usually hear the sound of the machines long before you actually see the door. It’s an engineering shop, so it’s not exactly the cleanest place in the world. There is always some grease on the floor and metal shavings near the lathes. We do a lot of repair work and custom parts for local factories and machines. The heat gets pretty intense in the workshop during the summer months but we just keep the fans running and stay at it. Being near the school means it’s busy in the mornings and afternoons with all the buses and parents, but the rest of the day is just the hum of our own tools. We started this place with just a couple of machines and we’ve added a bit more over time as we needed it. It’s mostly just us in work clothes, measuring things and making sure the cuts are right. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes by, they just walk into the shop and find one of us. It is a practical environment where the focus is strictly on the metalwork we have in front of us that day. We like the grit of the job and the fact that we can fix things with our own hands.
