Sai Crane Service

Setting up Sai Crane Service here in Mohan Nagar was a practical choice because it's right near Katori Mill Chowk. If you know the area, you know how the traffic piles up there. We spend a lot of time just watching the trucks go by from our spot at number 2. The cranes take up a lot of room, so the yard is always a bit cramped. We start early, usually before the sun gets too high, just to check the oil levels and the cables. There is a lot of dust that comes off the road, so everything gets a layer of grit on it by lunchtime. We sit on plastic chairs under the shade when there isn't a call coming in. It’s not a glamorous job, just lifting things and putting them down where they belong. The engines are loud, and you can’t really hear yourself talk when they’re running. We don’t have a website or any of that stuff, just the phone and this place near the chowk. Sometimes the weather is bad and we have to cover everything up with heavy tarps. It’s just me and a few others keeping the equipment running. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but Katori Mill is still the main landmark everyone uses to find us. We stay pretty busy even without much fuss.
